Two lonely creatures in a dark celestial circus contemplate existence and endless time
In an undefined emptiness, a cosmic being of unclear gender sways gently on a swing. Forehead large, belly swollen, impregnating a child or just ideas. Omnipotent and always there, from before the beginning. Immortal, and restless. Ever in need of a companion: an imperceptible presence, a shadow-figure who slips through the surrounding darkness to make this peculiar cosmos spin.

TITANS is a fifty-minute stage-performance, a duet directed and choreographed by Euripides Laskaridis in close collaboration with costume designer Angelos Mendis. Here too, as in his previous work RELIC, Laskaridis uses notions of ridicule and transformation to explore the perseverance of humankind in the face of the unknown. Where RELIC was a domestic scene, a mortal in a terrestrial world after the end of reason, TITANS opens up an alien space, with gods inhabiting a metaphysical realm in a time before reason. A prequel to the sequel.
If anything, TITANS pays tribute to every failed attempt — be it personal or collective — to embody a flawless archetype, an unbroken self, a world immaculate.
